Alexis + Jake | Summer Lovin’ Wedding | Jesup, Iowa

Jake purposed a few days after Thanksgiving. We were getting pictures taken with my family by my friend Sara. I asked Sara to take a couple pictures of just us after the shoot, little did I know Jake & Sara had been planning this out for a while. So we were taking pictures & Jake got down on one knee & the rest is history.”

“What I love most about Jake is he can always make me laugh, no matter how mad or upset I am.”

“What I love most about Lexi is how much fun she is to be around and it doesn’t matter if we are just hanging out at home or out on the town, we always have a great time together.”

“Our biggest priority while planning for the big day was our guest list and making sure we found a venue that could accommodate both of our large families.”

“I cried a lot that morning while I was getting ready. Seeing Jake for the first time really helped calm my nerves.”

“One moment from our wedding day I will always cherish was having my great grandparents there. It’s not too often that great grandparents get to see their granddaughter get married. I am so thankful and blessed that they were able to make the trip to share the day with us.”

“One of our favorite moments was during the ceremony when Father Dole called us out for always sneaking up to the balcony for church on Sunday mornings.”

“As a married couple, we are most looking forward to spending the rest of our days together. We are excited to start our own little family and to see what the future may bring for us.”

“Our advice to future couple’s is to get through the planning and all of the hardwork it takes to pull a wedding together. In the end it will all come together and will be 110% worth it. No matter how much people may drive you up the wall throughout planning, when the day finally arrives (which it will, I promise!) nothing else matters besides becoming Husband and Wife. When the big day finally does arrive, try to take it all in, talk to your guests, and enjoy every moment because once it’s gone… It’s gone.”

“Another favorite moment from our wedding day was our first dance. The song, Forever and Ever Amen, has played a special part in our relationship from the beginning and dancing to it as Husband and Wife was a very special moment for us.”

“We were nothing short of pleased with our photography experience on our wedding day. Kaely was very accommodating to our large families and reassured me multiple times that we were doing great on time. She really helped lower my stress level.”
