Sam + Mitchell’s engagement session at George Wyth Memorial State Park was amazing! We had the perfect light and their Dog of Honor is the absolute cutest. These two are getting married on September 15th, 2018 at Ascension Lutheran Church in Waterloo, with a reception to follow at the Diamond Event Center in Cedar Falls. I can’t wait to capture their day! ❤
“We’ve been together for two and a half years. You can say we technically met in high school, but we never talked then and really didn’t know each other. Mitchell is a year older and was friends with my best friend and her sister. In the summer of 2015, we all decided to go to Countryfest together (road trip to the middle of nowhere Wisconsin and camp out with friends for 4 days at country concerts? Of course we’ll go.)”
“On February 10, 2018 he told me we needed to go to his dads bank that he works at to help move something and we would go to lunch after. He was acting a little strange in the morning but I didn’t think anything of it. We pulled up to Farmer’s State Bank and he ran over the curb because he was so nervous! When we walked in all of our family and friends were there holding up signs “will you marry me” and he got down on one knee and I said yes!! We then went to an “after party” at our typical hangout spot Smittys. He had a cake made with a quote from my favorite move Sweet Home Alabama that said “What would you marry me for anyhow?” ”
“I think I’m most excited about everything we get to experience in life together, to have him by my side through it all. Every opportunity from learning a new trick skiing at the lake to our child’s first steps, and the journey in between.”
“We are both home bodies so we like to stay in watching movies or playing board games (Mitchell likes to cheat), or travel to sporting events, either hockey or baseball!”
“Mitchell has the best sense of humor, drive and compassion for everything he does and puts his whole heart into everything. I can count on him for any and everything. His compassion towards people and helping hand are what makes him, him and I love him for that!”
“I love that Sam knows how to turn a bad day into a good day she is caring and will always help with stuff when I ask she Is the most down to earth person I know and she means the world to me.”
“Kaely was so much fun to work with! We didn’t just pose and smile but we had fun the whole time, giggling and getting to play with our dog!”
