FAQ

Bride and groom leaving ceremony in Iowa

How long have you been in business?
Since 2011, but my love affair with the camera began long before that.

Where are you located?
We are located in Vinton, Iowa and we absolutely love to travel!

How are you different from other wedding photographers?
We specialize in weddings, so that means that 100% of our time and attention is focused on you. We give you a way to enjoy your most important relationships.  We take the time to get to know you, so that we are able to truly capture who you are with every image that we take.

How would you describe your style?
Natural, Timeless and Fun. We will do some posed portraits, but what makes my heart happy is being able to catch moments that reflect who you are by having the two of you interact as a couple.

Do you work with a second photographer?
Yes, we do!  Telling the story of your wedding is so important to us, that we always have a second photographer to capture candid moments and assist with lighting.

When should we book our engagement session and how long do they last?
We recommend you book your engagement session at least six months before your wedding. Your engagement session will be about an hour long and you’re more than welcome to have 2-3 outfit changes. Engagement sessions are the best way for us to get to know each other before your big day, which is why they are complimentary.

What equipment do you use?
We use professional Canon + Sigma gear. To be exact; Canon 5D Mk III, Canon 5D Mk II, Canon 200L, Canon 100, Sigma 50 Art, Sigma 35 Art, Sigma 24 Art, 580EXII Flash.

When will we see our photographs?
You will receive a link to your private online gallery three to four weeks after your wedding.  You can view your images and order prints at your convenience over the next year.

This all sounds awesome, how do we book you?
Send us a message via the contact tab and introduce yourselves.  After we chat and talk about your details, an $800 non-refundable retainer is required, along with a signed contract in order to reserve your date.  Your remaining balance must be paid 30 days prior to your wedding. We accept cash, check and credit and are more than happy to accept payment plans.

What is the best way to contact you?
We are often out of the office for photo sessions and client meetings and have varying office hours. For that reason, email is always the best way to reach us.
